Completed projects (2010 - 2020)

  • Since 2010, a series of capillary interventions have been carried out on the buildings, making them more sustainable and less energy-intensive.
  • Since 2010, many systems have been put under inverters and replaced continuity systems, escalators, motors and pumping systems, updating them with technologies with reduced energy consumption.
  • Since 2010, campaigns have been carried out to replace the lighting bodies with LED systems.
  • From 2011 to 2017, the air conditioning system of the passenger terminal was progressively updated, creating a cooling loop powered by 2 power plants that are balanced according to energy needs.
  • Since 2012, work has progressively been made on the automated baggage transport system which has 3.3 km of conveyor belts moved by almost a thousand electric motors. Among the various projects, a unique idea stands out in the panorama of the sector: since the flow of baggage is not constant over time, a system has been developed that allows baggage to be accumulated in various holding stations, upon filling of which the movement is activated. useful portions of tape, with considerable energy savings.
  • Since 2018, in collaboration with Enerbrain (Spin-off of the Polytechnic of Turin), an IOT system for intelligent regulation of the climatic comfort of the General Aviation Terminal has been created: the electronic system regulates the air conditioning and heating systems by acquiring data from the probes installed throughout the building, continuously optimizing environmental conditions in an intelligent way. The installation of Enerbrain has allowed savings on the consumption of electricity and natural gas of over 30%.
  • Since 2018, adaptive management and control systems have been gradually implemented for the lighting systems of buildings and yards in order to minimize operating hours and consumption.
  • Since 2019 the heating systems serving the peripheral buildings have been remodeled and updated in order to make them less energy-intensive.
  • In 2021 the new car park with electric charging for the car sharing customer was opened (10 columns for 20 cars).
  • In 2023, the first electric ambulance for airport rescue operations went into service.
